1. ABOUT LENNART'S GARAGE

These Terms of Service apply to purchases from Lennart's Garage through www.lennartsgarage.com and to orders personally agreed through email, telephone, social media or another direct communication channel.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer right that applies under applicable law.

2. ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected artwork.

An automated Shopify order confirmation confirms that the order has been received. Lennart's Garage may personally confirm the order by email.

If payment has been collected but an order cannot reasonably be accepted or fulfilled, the amount paid will be refunded.

Lennart's Garage may refuse or cancel an order where:

the relevant edition is no longer available
delivery to the requested destination cannot reasonably be completed
required customer information is incomplete or incorrect
payment has not been authorised
an obvious pricing, description or technical error has occurred
fulfilling the order would be unlawful

If an accepted order must be cancelled by Lennart's Garage, the customer will receive a refund of the amount paid.

3. THE ARTWORKS

Every Lennart's Garage artwork is individually built and finished by hand using reclaimed wood and other selected materials.

The handmade process and the nature of reclaimed materials result in modest variations in colour, shape, texture, grain, markings, patina and weathering.

These variations form part of the individual character of the artwork and are not considered defects.

Product photographs are intended to represent each design accurately, but a delivered artwork will not be identical in every natural detail to another example or to the piece photographed.

Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly as a result of the handmade process.

4. LIMITED EDITIONS AND CERTIFICATES

Where an artwork is described as part of a limited edition, it will be individually numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

No further pieces will be produced as part of that edition once the stated edition has been completed.

The certificate of authenticity forms part of the artwork and should be retained.

5. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are primarily set in euros.

Depending on the customer's location and the Shopify market through which an order is placed, Shopify may display or charge the order in another supported currency. The final currency and total shown at checkout are the amount payable for that transaction.

For regular product orders, the price shown for the customer's destination is intended to be the complete delivered price.

It includes:

the artwork
secure packaging in a custom-made wooden shipping case
insured and tracked delivery
applicable duties, taxes, tariffs and import charges arranged by Lennart's Garage for the agreed delivery destination

No additional delivery or import charge should be due on arrival, provided the delivery destination and information supplied by the customer remain accurate and the customer reasonably cooperates with any customs-clearance requirements.

Currency-conversion charges or foreign-transaction fees imposed independently by a bank, credit-card issuer or payment provider are outside the control of Lennart's Garage.

Payment must be completed through a payment method offered at checkout or otherwise agreed in writing.

6. ORDER INFORMATION AND REQUESTED CHANGES

The customer is responsible for providing accurate contact, billing and delivery information.

Any requested change to the artwork, delivery destination or order details must be agreed in writing.

Requested changes can affect the price, production schedule, delivery timeframe and, where relevant, the customer's right of withdrawal.

A change that results in an artwork being made to a customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised may cause the order to fall within the personalised-goods exception described in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

7. MADE TO ORDER AND PRODUCTION TIME

Every Lennart's Garage artwork is made to order and personally built in my workshop in the Netherlands.

As a general guide:

Standard Emblems: approximately 4 to 6 weeks from order to arrival.

XXL Emblems, Reliefs, Contours and other larger works: approximately 6 to 8 weeks from order to arrival.

Custom Shop projects: as confirmed individually.

The product page provides the expected timeframe for the individual artwork.

These timeframes are good-faith estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.

Lennart's Garage will provide an update if a substantial delay becomes apparent.

Beginning production does not, by itself, remove a mandatory withdrawal right that applies to a standard catalogue artwork.

8. DELIVERY

Every artwork is carefully packed for transport in a custom-made wooden shipping case and dispatched using an insured and tracked professional delivery service.

The customer must provide a complete delivery address, telephone number and any information reasonably required by the carrier or customs authorities.

For consumer purchases, risk of loss or damage remains with Lennart's Garage until the artwork has been physically delivered to the customer or another person designated by the customer, except where the consumer has independently chosen a carrier not offered by Lennart's Garage.

If delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect information, repeated absence, refusal of delivery or failure to reasonably cooperate with the carrier, reasonable additional delivery, storage, return or redelivery costs may be charged where permitted by law.

9. INSPECTION AND TRANSPORT DAMAGE

The customer should inspect the shipping case and artwork as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Where visible transport damage exists, the customer is strongly requested to photograph:

the unopened case and visible damage
the shipping label
the internal packaging
the affected part of the artwork

and contact Lennart's Garage as soon as possible, preferably within three calendar days.

This requested reporting period assists with insurance and carrier claims. It does not remove or restrict any mandatory legal right.

The customer should retain the artwork, case and packaging and should not arrange return transport without receiving instructions.

10. INCORRECT, DAMAGED OR NON-CONFORMING ARTWORKS

If an artwork is incorrect, damaged, defective or does not conform to the purchase contract, please contact Lennart's Garage and provide reasonable supporting information.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, a reasonable price reduction or a refund.

Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory conformity or consumer guarantee rights.

11. CONSUMER RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Applicable consumer withdrawal rights are described in full in the Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, a consumer may exercise it through the online withdrawal function available through this website, by email or by using the Model Withdrawal Form contained in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

Being made after an order is placed does not, by itself, make a standard catalogue artwork exempt from a mandatory right of withdrawal.

12. PERSONALISED AND CUSTOM SHOP ARTWORKS

A statutory withdrawal right may not apply to an artwork that is made to the customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised.

This can include commissioned work based on an individual car, garage, business identity, inscription, requested dimensions, configuration or another genuinely bespoke requirement.

Where this exception applies, it will be made clear before the order is placed or commission is accepted.

This does not affect any right relating to an artwork that is damaged, defective, incorrect or does not conform to the agreed specifications.

13. OTHER CANCELLATIONS

Where no mandatory withdrawal right applies, including many business-to-business purchases, cancellation of a confirmed order requires written agreement from Lennart's Garage.

If a voluntary cancellation is accepted, reasonable non-recoverable costs already incurred may be taken into account to the extent permitted by law.

14. TWO-YEAR WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

In addition to mandatory statutory rights, Lennart's Garage provides a two-year workmanship warranty beginning on the date of delivery.

The warranty applies worldwide and covers verified defects in materials or workmanship arising during normal indoor display and intended use.

An appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement or another suitable solution.

Reasonable transport costs agreed in advance for a valid warranty claim will be borne by Lennart's Garage.

The warranty does not cover:

natural variations inherent in reclaimed materials and handmade work
normal ageing, patina or expected wear
moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat or unsuitable environmental conditions
incorrect handling, storage, installation or cleaning
unsuitable wall fixings or installation locations
accidents, impact, misuse or neglect
unauthorised alterations or repairs
use contrary to the supplied instructions

This commercial warranty does not replace, restrict or shorten any statutory legal guarantee or conformity right.

15. INSTALLATION

Lennart's Garage artworks are designed for secure indoor wall installation.

The built-in handle on the back allows the artwork to hang from a sturdy screw.

The customer is responsible for selecting a screw, anchor and fixing method appropriate for the wall type, weight of the artwork, condition of the wall and installation location.

If there is any uncertainty, a qualified installer or hardware specialist should be consulted.

To the extent permitted by law, Lennart's Garage is not responsible for damage caused by an unsuitable wall, fixing, installation method or installation location.

This does not exclude liability for a defect in the artwork or built-in mounting component or another form of liability that cannot legally be excluded.

16. CARE OF THE ARTWORK

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Lennart's Garage artworks are intended for indoor display in a dry interior environment.

For long-term preservation, artworks should:

be kept away from water, moisture and excessive humidity
be protected from prolonged direct sunlight
be kept away from excessive heat and rapid temperature changes
be handled carefully
be cleaned only with a soft, dry cloth

Cleaning chemicals, abrasive materials, solvents and excessive pressure should not be used.

17. URGENT ORDERS

If an artwork is required by a particular date, please contact Lennart's Garage before ordering.

An urgent production or delivery date is binding only where it has been expressly confirmed in writing.

18. AUTOMOTIVE ART, INDEPENDENTLY CREATED

Lennart's Garage is an independent art studio.

Any brand names, marque names, trademarks or logos shown or mentioned remain the property of their respective owners.

No affiliation, sponsorship, approval or endorsement is intended or implied unless expressly stated otherwise.

Purchasing an artwork does not grant any intellectual-property right in a third-party trademark, logo or brand identity.

19. LENNART'S GARAGE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Original photography, video, written content, branding, graphics, workshop imagery and other original website materials created by Lennart's Garage are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.

They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, commercially exploited or used to manufacture competing artworks without prior written permission.

20. EVENTS BEYOND REASONABLE CONTROL

Lennart's Garage is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control, including serious illness, material shortages, carrier or customs disruption, extreme weather, natural disasters, war, sanctions, government action or failures of essential infrastructure or payment services.

If such an event occurs, Lennart's Garage will take reasonable steps to reduce its effects and communicate any significant delay.

This does not remove any cancellation or refund right provided by mandatory law.

21. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

For consumer purchases, Lennart's Garage remains responsible for losses for which it is legally responsible under applicable consumer law.

Lennart's Garage is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses except where the law provides otherwise.

For business customers, to the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential economic loss is excluded and total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount paid for the affected artwork.

Questions, complaints, damage reports, withdrawal notices and warranty claims may be sent to:

Please include your order number, a clear description of the matter and photographs or documents where relevant.

Lennart's Garage will acknowledge the matter and aims to provide a substantive response within 14 days.

23. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms and purchase contracts with Lennart's Garage are governed by Dutch law.

Where the customer is a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive the customer of mandatory protections available under the laws of their country of habitual residence where those protections apply.

The parties should first attempt to resolve any disagreement directly and in good faith.

Any unresolved dispute will be submitted to a competent court determined under applicable law. Consumers retain all rights to bring proceedings before a court available to them under mandatory consumer-protection rules.

24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

The Terms applying to an order are the Terms in force when that order is placed.

Lennart's Garage may update these Terms for future purchases. Changes will not retrospectively alter an existing purchase contract unless required by law or expressly agreed.

If one provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
